The 2024/25 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague season delivered another chapter of high-level European basketball, culminating in a historic Final Four in Abu Dhabi. Fenerbahçe emerged as champions, navigating a competitive field through a demanding regular season and intense playoff battles.
The Regular Season
The regular season, which ran from October 3, 2024, to April 11, 2025, delivered us one of the most competitive seasons yet to date. Individually, Carsen Edwards had a standout regular season. He earned the Alphonso Ford EuroLeague Top Scorer Trophy, averaging an impressive 20.4 points per game. Shorts of debutant Paris Basketball also made a significant impact, leading the league with 7.3 assists per game, while his team recorded a notable 10-game winning streak during their first EuroLeague season. The Playoff Path to Abu Dhabi
The postseason, including the play-in tournament for teams ranked 7th to 10th, was filled with compelling matchups. In the quarter-finals, top-seeded Olympiacos overcame Real Madrid 3-1. AS Monaco edged out FC Barcelona in a tight 3-2 series. Panathinaikos also went the distance, defeating Anadolu Efes 3-2. Fenerbahçe secured a convincing 3-0 sweep against newcomer Paris Basketball.

For the first time, the EuroLeague Final Four was held outside of Europe, with the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi hosting the season’s climax from May 23-25, 2025.

Individual Accolades
Somewhat deservingly, Kendrick Nunn was voted the regular season MVP, finishing in front of Sasha Vezenkov in the voting. As far as the final game goes, Nigel Hayes-Davis was voted as the Best Player of the final game as he scored 23 points alongside 9 rebounds. He went 100% from the free throw line, going 14/14.
Other notable regular season awards included Nick Weiler-Babb (FC Bayern Munich) winning best defender of the year, Nadir Hifi (Paris Basketball) being awarded the Rising Star trophy, and Šarūnas Jasikevičius (Fenerbahçe) being named as the coach of the season.
